Senior golfers, just like any other age range, have widely different needs in golf clubs. You’re not just a senior golfer. You’re a senior golfer with a specific swing speed and height.
That’s why all Stix club sets can be configured by height and flex. You can choose stiff, regular, or “A flex” (aka “senior flex”).

Stix offers three flex options so that no matter your experience level and strength, you can find the perfect fit with our clubs.
The right club flex for you depends on your swing speed.
Not to get too technical, but the more flexible the club shaft, the more it compensates for slower swing speeds (it’s more forgiving). The stiffer the club shaft, the more exact the ball trajectory is to a golfer's swing.
If you know your swing speed, use this guideline to choose your flex:
Stiff Flex: 84-104 MPH
Regular Flex: 76-96 MPH
A-flex (seniors / ladies): 75 and under MPHYou might not know your speed right now, or it might vary quite a bit from shot to shot. If you haven’t golfed in some time, your speed may have changed.
For senior golfers, most pros recommend you choose one flex softer than what you’ve been playing with until you noticed a change in your swing speed. If you’ve been playing with a stiff flex, try regular flex. If you’re golfing with regular flex but your swing is down, shift to senior flex (A flex).
If you choose the wrong flex, don’t worry. The 30-Day Trial gives you 30 days from receipt of the clubs to determine if they are the right fit for you. As long as you contact us and get the clubs in the mail within 30 days, we can exchange them for clubs with different flexibility or length.

Just because you’re 50+ (technically, a senior golfer in pro terms) doesn’t mean you need a senior flex.
However, if you’ve been playing with a stiffer flex and struggling with distance and control, we do recommend you try a softer shaft.
With more flex, you can hit the ball farther and straighter, more consistently. Senior shafts also offer more stability.

Most of us will get more golf games in when we’re 50+ than at any other age. If you’re a senior golfer who’s retired, you may have time to advance your game and make use of all 14 clubs.
What if you’re a senior who’s new to golf and not sure how much you’ll play? A 9-piece or 11-piece set of Stix clubs might be all you need.

Every golfer's build is different. However, your height generally determines how long your clubs should be. Here are the guidelines:
Standard length is built for golfers typically between 5’7” and 6’2”
-.5” length clubs generally fit those between 5’4” and 5’7”
-1” length clubs are recommended for players between 5’0” and 5’4”
+.5” length clubs generally fit those between 6’2” and 6’4”
+1” length clubs generally fit those between 6’4” and 6’7”Technically, the length of your club should be based on the measurement from your wrist to the floor when you're in your golf stance.
What if your height falls on the border of two lengths? It's best to go with the longer length of the two options. For example, if you are 5’4”, choose -.5” length clubs. It's easier to use clubs that are a touch too long than clubs that are too short.
But don’t worry too much about club length. With the 30-Day Trial, you can try Stix clubs out risk-free. If you need to exchange for a different length, just contact us and get the clubs in the mail within 30 days.

At Stix, we’re not fans of the ‘pink it and shrink it’ approach to women’s clubs. Just because you’re a woman doesn’t mean you need smaller, pinker clubs.
Our designs are universal, and plenty of Stix senior ladies love the sleek look of our all-black, minimalist clubs.
Most senior ladies will prefer the A flex clubs, but see our guidelines above on choosing.

We keep the estimated shipping time frame front and center on all product pages and throughout the purchase process.
We ship from our HQ just outside Chicago, Illinois. Once the clubs are in the mail to you, domestic orders will typically arrive within 7-10 days. International orders usually take 7-14 days. As soon as your clubs are in the mail, we will send you a tracking number that you can obsess over until they arrive.
