THE BEST BEGINNER
GOLF CLUB SETS
We believe high-quality clubs should be available to any golfer at any skill level. Our up-to-the-minute club design makes maximum style, quality, and performance accessible for every golfer, beginners and high-handicappers included. With Stix, you can purchase your first set of clubs with confidence, knowing you’re getting the best quality at the best price.
When you’re sporting our sleek clubs out on the course, you won’t be thinking about your high handicap. Stix clubs are confidence boosters. And when you look better, you play better - no matter how new you are to the game.
Regularly described as “the coolest clubs I’ve seen” by players of all abilities, Stix features clean lines and all-black finishes. No clutter or noise — just sleek modern minimalism. The result? Slick, streamlined clubs that are a joy to swing and make you feel more confident out on the course.
If you’re looking for a beginner golf club set that helps you look good and play even better, you’ve come to the right place.
Big box starter sets may be affordable, but they cut corners on quality, performance, and design. Beginner golf clubs shouldn’t lack in quality. That’s why Stix makes premium quality clubs for beginners and intermediate players on par with the clubs advanced players use.
You’ll love the way these clubs feel. Titanium, stainless steel, and graphite are strong but lightweight, so you can swing faster and hit farther while maintaining control over the ball.
All Stix irons and wedges feature a durable finish for scratch resistance, so your clubs will continue to look like they cost three times the price, game after game.
With Stix, you can get kitted out with our Play Series beginner golf club set and a bag for less than half the price of big brands. Stix premium materials, performance engineering, and sleek design are far beyond what you’ll find with bargain-priced starter sets.
Your clubs don’t need to scream “beginner.” Stix brings you great golf technology, top-quality materials, and precision finishes for exceptional value. Our goal is to make premium golf clubs accessible to beginners at a fair price without compromise.
It takes a lot of practice to gain significant control over that little white ball, which is why we designed our clubs to have a decent amount of forgiveness – which is ideal for beginners and intermediates. Our forgiving golf clubs allow you to still get distance on those less-than-perfect swings, meaning you play better and enjoy the game a lot more. Stix club sets take the pressure off hitting the ball just right and help you forget that you’re just learning the game.

With Stix, there’s no messing around shopping for individual clubs — it’s pricy, complicated, and stressful, especially for beginners. We’ve simplified the process for you and put together three amazing club sets that’ll grow with you from beginner to intermediate and beyond. Each of our golf club sets comes with flex and length options so you can customize the entire kit to your build and game.
When picking out your first set of clubs, consider your approach to the game. Are you taking up golf as a way to occasionally get outside with your friends and hit a few rounds? Or do you intend to fully take up golf as a hobby and play every weekend?
If you’re just getting into golf as a fun hobby you’ll enjoy every now and then, our 9-club set will be perfect for you. Our 9-club set is best for casual players on or off the course. Fewer clubs allow you to simply focus on the game and enjoy yourself.
If you’re looking to get serious about golf and plan to play as much as possible, either our 11-club set or 14-club set will work for you. These club sets give you more options on the course, allowing you to figure out which club works best for you as you dial in your game.

QUESTIONS BEGINNER GOLFERS ASK BEFORE BUYING STIX CLUBS

Stix aren’t specifically for beginners. They’re for everyone.
In fact, they’re the clubs we designed for our own use after 20 years of golfing (albeit, casually). We wanted a quality set that would last and grow with our games.
So, we designed Stix clubs to be configured for any experience, ability and strength level. Whether you’re getting into the game for the first time, getting back into the game, or just getting serious, Stix has the clubs you need to look good and play better.

Stix clubs are designed for maximum forgiveness with beginner and intermediate players’ games in mind.
Across the club sets, the graphite shafts are strong but lightweight, so you can swing faster — even when you’re just getting into the swing of the game.
The heads are designed to enhance control and precision.
You can review the detailed specs on each kit page. But we won’t overwhelm you with the jargon. Too many would-be-golfers get stuck wading through technical features designed for high-level players. For beginners, extreme golf tech won’t make a difference in your game. It only wastes your money.
We keep it simple and focus on the tech that makes a difference for the rest of us — beginners and casual players who just want to play our best, from day one.

Premium golf clubs can add up to well over $2k, all in. That steep price keeps too many beginners from getting into the game with clubs they love.
But it doesn’t cost $2k to get a quality, well-designed set of clubs into your hands. (We know, because we’ve done it for far less.)
Stix is for those who want the quality of premium clubs without paying the premium price.
We’ve kept the high-end materials and design elements that meaningfully improve your game. And we dropped the unnecessary frills, like technology designed to give high-level players minute advantages.
The truth is, premium clubs are also pricey because of the waste and markups in the process of getting clubs from the factory to your hands. We’ve worked hard to cut out the high costs of inefficiencies. For example, we only sell online and we don’t carry a ton of inventory. That means we can pass the savings on to you.

Many do. Most of us at Stix learned to golf with ancient hand-me-downs. And there will always be beginner golfers who can get by with a used set of high-quality golf clubs.
But finding great quality used clubs with the right flex and length can be a challenge. And often, the design is outdated, so they feel clunkier and you can’t play at your best.
We noticed a big difference when we started playing golf with Stix. But don’t just take it from us. Check out the reviews from the many happy customers who say their game changed when they upgraded from hand-me-downs to Stix.

You can get bargain basement golf clubs, for sure. The clubs that golf brands market as “beginner sets” are, as you’d expect, not great quality. With poorly designed, poorly made clubs, you can’t play your best. And there’s the risk that you’ll drop the game because it doesn’t feel good.
Or, if you stick with the beginner set and improve your game anyway, you’ll feel the itch to upgrade quickly. And then you’ll spend twice on clubs, when you could spend once with Stix.
If you can invest a little more (but far less than most premium clubs), you can get a set of Stix clubs that you’ll be thrilled to use for years to come.

Nine clubs is all a beginner really needs. Until you’re swinging faster, for example, you won’t notice a difference between every iron. That’s why we offer the Casual Set of 9 essential clubs.
If you’re ready to try your hand at a wider range of irons, the 11-piece Classic Set is for you.
With the 14-piece Complete Set, you’ll get every club permitted on course — and every club you’ll ever need.
If you’re a beginner, it’s a matter of choice. Invest in more clubs now, with the certainty that you’ll keep up the game, or play it by ear and grab more clubs as you go.

Stix offers three flex options so that no matter your experience level and strength, you can find the perfect fit with our clubs.
The right club flex for you depends on your swing speed. Of course, if you’re just starting out, you might not know your speed. And your speed might vary quite a bit from shot to shot.
Not to get too technical, but… The more flexible the club shaft, the more it compensates for slower swing speeds (it’s more forgiving). The stiffer the club shaft, the more exact the ball trajectory is to a golfer's swing.
If you know your swing speed, use this guideline to choose your flex:
Stiff Flex: 84-104 MPH
Regular Flex: 76-96 MPH
A-flex: 75 and under MPHBeginner golfers typically do best with regular flex because it helps even out inconsistent swing speed. But some prefer to learn on stiff flex clubs.
If you choose the wrong flex, don’t worry. The 30-Day Trial gives you 30 days from receipt of the clubs to determine if they are the right fit for you. As long as you contact us and get the clubs in the mail within 30 days we can exchange them for clubs with different flexibility or length.

Every golfer's build is different but we've made it easier to choose the length by giving height guidelines.
Standard length is built for golfers typically between 5’7” and 6’2”
-.5” length clubs generally fit those between 5’4” and 5’7”
-1” length clubs are recommended for players between 5’0” and 5’4”
+.5” length clubs generally fit those between 6’2” and 6’4”
+1” length clubs generally fit those between 6’4” and 6’7”Technically, the length of your club should be based on the measurement from your wrist to the floor when you're in your stance. This generally follows height parameters, which is why we share these guidelines.
What if your height falls on the border of two lengths? Generally, it's best to go with the longer length of the two options. For example, if you are 5’4”, choose -.5” length clubs. It's easier to use clubs that are a touch too long than clubs that are too short.
But don’t stress the question of club length. With the 30-Day Trial, you can try Stix clubs out risk-free. As long as you contact us and get the clubs in the mail within 30 days we can exchange them for clubs of a different length or flex.
Need a custom length? Send an email to orders@stix.golf and we’ll walk you through the options.

At Stix, we’re not fans of the ‘pink it and shrink it’ philosophy to women’s clubs. Just because you’re a woman doesn’t mean you need smaller, pinker clubs.
Stix clubs are for everyone. We have clubs of various lengths and flexes to match the game of anyone who’s ready to get out there and enjoy the game.
-
We keep the estimated shipping time frame front and center on all product pages and throughout the purchase process.
In some cases, club sets are backordered — we’ll make that very clear, so there are no surprises. And of course, if you order custom clubs, we’ll need a bit more time to customize those for you.
We ship from our HQ just outside Chicago, Illinois. Once the clubs are in the mail to you, domestic orders will typically arrive within 7-10 days. International orders typically take 7-14 days. As soon as your clubs are in the mail we will send you a tracking number that you can obsess over until they arrive.
If you have questions about your order you can send an email to orders@stix.golf
